Power System Researcher Position:
IBM Research, India is looking for experienced power and energy system engineers focused on smart grid related projects to join the Smarter Energy research group. The group conducts interdisciplinary research in the field of energy and power systems. We apply computer science and engineering research to come up with real solutions to challenging problems in the field. Current projects spans renewable energy sources, energy efficient micro-grids, grid reliability, and demand side management.
Requirements ( Role / responsibility ):
PhD or MS/ M Tech in Power System/ Energy Systems/ Smart Grid with relevant experience/ publication
Should be keen to work in one or more of these fields:
Smart Grid
Power System Analysis, Stability & Control
Synchrophasor based Wide area situational awareness & other analytics
Integration of renewable energies
Microgrid & Virtual Power Plants
Demand Side Management
Distributed Energy Resources
Publications in top journals like IEEE Transactions in Power and Energy System or in top conferences like IEEE PES General Meeting will be preferable
Proficiency in Computer Programming like C, Java, Perl etc. is desirable
Knowledge and hand on experience across different platforms
Willingness to learn new technologies and languages
Proven verbal and written communications skills
You without prior experience but good technical knowledge/ publication also eligible.
